IMWCA Finance
As a public sector risk-sharing pool, IMWCA operates under the same accounting and investment laws and regulations as our members. Our finances are audited annually by an independent auditor and have received the Government Finance Officers Association award each year since 1990.
Annual Comprehensive Financial Report
Our award-winning Annual Comprehensive Financial Report gives you all of the information needed to assess IMWCA’s financial stability. As a governmental entity formed under the Code of Iowa Chapter 28E, IMWCA follows the reporting standards set out by the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB).
IMWCA is proud to have maintained the Government Finance Officers Association’s (GFOA) Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for more than 20 years. The Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting Program (COA) encourages and assists state and local governments to go beyond the minimum requirements of generally accepted accounting principles to prepare annual comprehensive financial reports that show evidence of transparency and full disclosure.
