Our Mission
The Iowa Municipalities Workers’ Compensation Association is committed to providing a competitive workers’ compensation program for cities and counties through administrative, loss control and technical services. As a self-insured risk pool, IMWCA was created for its members and is controlled by its members.

Coverage Features
- Medical-only coverage for Chapter 411 firefighters and police officers by endorsement.
- Medical-only coverage for non-statutory volunteers by endorsement.
- Includes $1,000,000 employers liability coverage (Coverage B) at no extra cost.
- Coverage packaged with any property/liability insurance program, including Iowa Communities Assurance Pool (ICAP).
